Support the Temple Health LGBTQI+ Equality Fund

Equality is at the heart of our mission at Temple Health and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM). Across these institutions, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, faculty, staff, patients and visitors are treated equally in a safe environment that maintains their respect and dignity.

With strong internal support, Temple Health and LKSOM are constantly evolving to best meet the needs of our own constituents and the region’s greater LGBTQI+ community. Our goal is to educate and inform, improve care, foster collaboration, and support every person’s educational and healthcare needs.

You can support these efforts with a gift to the Temple Health LGBTQI+ Fund. So far, the fund has allowed Temple Health and their LGBTQI+ Task Force to:

• include pronouns and given names in medical records.
  
• install all gender signage on bathrooms throughout Temple grounds.
  
• onboard a urologist who does affirmation surgeries and work on recruiting a plastic surgeon for top surgery.
  
• hire a full-time patient navigator to solely support LGBTQI+ patient care.
  
• host celebratory events and provide resources to participate in community events like Pride Day.
  
• host tabling events in Temple Health to honor special events, such as Transgender Visibility Day.
