Support the Cecil B. Moore Scholars Program

In response to the growing need for access to higher education, the university established the Cecil B. Moore Scholars Program, which creates a pipeline to Temple for public secondary school students residing in North Philadelphia. Named in honor of Moore, a civil rights activist, social justice reformer and Temple alumnus, the program is available to residents in the eight zip codes surrounding Temple Main Campus.

The first cohort of this program was selected in the spring of 2021, and received pre-college support during their senior year of high school, including a dual enrollment course at Temple and scholarship assistance to cover tuition for all four years of college once they arrived on campus. Upon enrollment at Temple, Cecil B. Moore Scholars also received special guidance from the program coordinators, including advising and mentorship.

Your gift will help fund scholarships and create access to a world-class Temple education for those who might not be able to afford it. Create a brighter future for students in North Philadelphia with a gift to the Cecil B. Moore Scholars Program today.
