UPDATE (5/1): There are 4 days left until the end of our OwlCrowd campaign. If we are able to raise $6,000 total, we will be able to double the number of students we originally intended, sending 6 to the Grace Hopper Conference!
UPDATE (4/26): We have soared past our goal! Thank you to everyone who has made a donation to ensure our students are able to attend this wonderful conference!
The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference is the world’s largest gathering of women technologists. The conference offers a great opportunity for Temple students to gain professional visibility, expand networks and learn about new and exciting technologies.
The conference highlights the research and careers of women in technology. It brings together the best minds in computing, increases the visibility of women’s contributions to computing and encourages collaborative proposals, networking and mentoring for attendees. Female students from the Temple University College of Science and Technology (CST) regularly present their groundbreaking research, which gives them exposure to graduate programs, job prospects and international publications.
This year’s conference will focus on topics like technology, productization, emerging tech, open source and organizational inclusion. There will also be a special technical poster session for all attendees.
With your donation, we’ll be able to send three CST women to the 2017 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference in Orlando this coming October. Thank you for helping our students be a part of this exciting celebration of women in tech!
