Who we are:

Temple University Emergency Medical Services (TUEMS) is a completely student-run, volunteer organization. Our providers are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and strive to provide the best care possible. Our EMS teams respond as a Quick Response System to medical emergencies on Temple University's main campus, as well as the surrounding areas of campus.

What we do:

When we respond to medical emergencies within the Temple community, we provide treatment as needed, and may call the Philadelphia Fire Department paramedic unit to transport the patient to the hospital. We then need to relay the patient’s care information to the transporting paramedics and ultimately the emergency physicians.

How you can help:

Currently, our organization uses a paper Patient Care Report (PCR) system - but with your help, we can upgrade to a digital system. A digital system would enhance our patient’s care by ensuring continuity between all providers. Using a digital system, our providers could easily transfer a patient’s care information to the transporting paramedics and the emergency physicians. This would ensure all patient care providers are fully informed of a patient’s situation and are able to monitor trends in the patient’s condition.

Your donations will make possible our transition to a digital PCR system, and will allow us continue to provide the best care possible to the Temple community.
