Thank you for joining in our celebration of Student Philanthropy Week, recognizing what's possible through philanthropy on Temple's campuses!
The week featured a variety of activities, none of which could be possible without the help of you - our students, faculty, staff, and alumni! Thank you for discovering the power of philanthropy with us. Visit our Flickr page to view photos from the week-long celebration.
On Monday, Tag Day, students, professors, and places made possible through philanthropic support were tagged on campus. Students also wrote thank you cards to donors. We collected over 250!
On Tuesday, I Love Temple Day, we spread the Temple love! The community was entertained by student performers, and Owls shared what they love most about Temple. Some of our favorite responses:
- The people! So many students and teachers accept me for who I am!
- Everyone's willingness to learn and become better students.
- I love Temple's commitment to Russell Conwell's mission.
- TU gave me a purpose.
- I love Temple because it's home!
Wednesday found students playing philanthropy BINGO for prizes ranging from meet-and-greets with alumni to Baker Dave's sweet treats!
On Friday, we welcomed five alumni back on campus as panelists and a moderator for a panel on the possibilities philanthropy can bring to one's personal and professional life. The panel was followed by a networking reception. Over 50 students, faculty, staff, and alumni joined in this unique event. Special thanks to our moderator and panelists Cherri Gregg, Melisa Baez, Jessica Lista, Eric Stephenson, and Tiffany Tavarez.
