Message from the Vice President for Institutional Advancement
The Office of Institutional Advancement is committed to creating a stronger culture of philanthropy at
Temple. Building on the uncommon drive of our students and faculty, Temple’s Institutional
Advancement staff strives to ensure that future generations are granted the same access to an
affordable, high-quality university education that prepares them for the real world.
The focus of our work is two-fold: one, we find new and unique ways to engage with our more than
300,000 alumni – either on our revitalized main campus or across the globe – through regional events,
volunteer opportunities, mentoring programs, and internships. And two, we secure financial support
from our alumni, friends, parents, students, faculty, and staff to fund the people, programs, and places
of Temple. From consistent annual support, to transformative leadership investments, every gift to
Temple fuels our progress and advances our mission to make a high-quality university education
accessible and affordable.
In the two years since my arrival, I have continuously been impressed by the enthusiasm and energy of
the Temple community, as demonstrated by our four consecutive years of record-breaking fundraising.
We in Institutional Advancement look forward to the future as we build on the incredible momentum of
